Question 1

Who can participate in the launch?

Accepted Answer

The launch is for Western Washington growers sharing harvests and chefs or kitchen teams sourcing ingredients. Growers can post what is coming from the field, while chefs and kitchens can describe what they need and when they can receive it.

Question 2

How do growers share harvest listings?

Accepted Answer

A grower can post the harvest title or ingredient, quantity, region, date or availability window, growing practice, and an optional photo. The listing stays visible to chefs browsing that regional lane, and a grower can close it when the harvest is no longer available.

Question 3

What can chefs and kitchens post?

Accepted Answer

Chefs and kitchens can post a need with a title, ingredient, quantity, one of the launch regions, a needed-by date, and an optional kitchen note. They can also request a specific grower listing with the quantity and pickup date their kitchen can receive.

Question 4

Which Western Washington regions are in the launch?

Accepted Answer

The launch covers four regions: Puget Sound, Skagit Valley, South Sound, and Olympic Peninsula. Choose one of these regions when you post a harvest listing or kitchen need so the marketplace can keep the first matches close to the route.

Question 5

How does matching work?

Accepted Answer

The match view pairs grower listings with kitchen needs by the same region and ingredient, then uses listing and request date windows or needed-by dates to help people judge whether the timing works. Matching is not scored or ranked; it is a regional starting point for an order request.

Question 6

How does courier delivery work?

Accepted Answer

After an order is accepted, a grower can assign an approved courier for the confirmed pickup window. The courier records pickup, transit, and drop-off through the handoff workflow, and the order keeps any recorded delivery events with its request history. Cold-chain records appear only when those steps were entered.

Question 7

Why is the platform regional-first?

Accepted Answer

Starting regionally keeps growers, chefs, kitchens, and approved couriers closer to the same route and makes the first handoffs easier to understand. The launch begins with four Western Washington regions rather than promising coverage beyond the current regional loop.
